carlisle, 2015 Number 5... six ft high.

Markings: A very indistinct possible "425" or "435" or "445"?

Manufacturer: Unk.

carlisle, 2015 Number 6... a small, ornate pump, with a cast iron handle.

Markings: "70" on the cap.

Manufacturer: Unk, but hints of Chinese origin about it - and there are very similar models in Llangollen, Denbighshire and King's Stag, Dorset.

carlisle, 2015 Number 7... perhaps not a colour scheme orginally offered by Messrs Lee, Howl & Co - but wait until you see the pump in its new setting.

Markings: Flag, "ALL BRITISH MADE" and a number "3".

Manufacturer: Lee Howl.
carlisle, 2015

carlisle, 2015 Number 8... A very smart example of a "Belfast" pattern Irish pump.

Markings: "A CLYDE BALLYMENA". The name "CLYDE" is very obviously raised higher than the rest of the wording, which - a wild guess - might indicate that an A. RANKIN BALLYMENA pump had been used as a pattern.

Manufacturer: Supplied by A. Clyde of Ballymena.
carlisle, 2015
