Clearwell Pumps (click on photographs to bring up bigger/better versions).

clearwell Near the well at Clearwell, Glos, is this flywheel and single throw crank, lift and force pump. It has a handle at the back as well as the front, and is securely chained down, although there's no connection existing between the crank and the operating rod. Despite crawling all over it, attacked by brambles and nettles, I could find no sign of any maker's marks.

Markings: None.

Manufacturer: Unk.
