Markings: A thin sheet-metal plate is attached, carrying the barely discernible name "THEMAC". The barrel also carries an indistinct, paint-filled number which might be 589.

Manufacturer: THEMAC is the trademark of The Metal Agencies Company Ltd, of Bristol.

grouville The second, and larger, pump at the junction of La Rue de la Marais à la Cocque and La Rue du Parcq. This one is mounted at the top of two converging sets of granite steps, and was probably used to fill water carts. The topstone carries the words: grouville
