One of two pumps in Longstanton, Cambs, this one deserves a bit of attention. (As of 2011 the farmland behind the pump has been transformed into a housing estate but thankfully the pump has not been encroached upon - but neither has it been renovated.) Markings: A shield carrying a crest, and proclaiming "Bamford's Frost Protected Lift Pump" Manufacturer: Bamford's of Uttoxeter.

The second pump in Longstanton is a smaller model built by the same company. Markings: A shield with the words "Bamford's "Universal" Deep Well Pump", and within this another shield carrying the letters "H B & S" [= H Bamford and Sons]. Manufacturer: Bamford's of Uttoxeter.
