rusper A very smart pump outside the Star Inn, Rusper, West Sussex. It's the same model as found in Leigh, Surrey, and in Parkhurst Forest, Isle of Wight, but this one still has its cap. It carries the inscription:
 BY A DEED OF GIFT DATED
5TH DECEMBER, 1898, THIS PUMP
AND WELL OF WATER WERE
CONVEYED TO THE PARISH COUNCIL
OF RUSPER BY HENRY MICHELL
OF HORSHAM, BREWER, IN
TRUST FOR THE BENEFIT
OF THE INHABITANTS OF RUSPER.
