sheffield, 2014 This pump in Sheffield (Millhouses), S. Yorks, was tidied up in 2013 by a local neighbourhood group. Reportedly the pump and trough were originally used by ponies needing a drink on the way to the salt mines on the moors of Ringinglow. Thanks to Dave Little for the photo. A nearby plaque reads:
"17 [sic?] CENTURY PUMP Restored by Carter Knowle and Millhouses Neighbourhood Group 2013"
