This one's outside the White Horse in Shere, and has a simple probable anti-frost device at the bottom of the barrel, which allows the water to be drained away when frost is expected. Markings: "Pompes Corneau", "DEVILLE", "Charleville", and "33". Manufacturer: Pompes Corneau, Deville, Charleville, France.

Church Lane, Shere. A nice bit of fancy decoration on the barrel, and a rather more sophisticated bypass valve to drain water from the barrel back into the downpipe in wintry weather. Markings: "Warners", on the handle. Manufacturer: Warners.
