	This pump in North St Gardens, York, was installed in 2017. It celebrates John Snow, who was born in nearby North St, and some details are provided by a nearby plaque on the ground which also carries the York Civic Trust Emblem:
	John Snow (1813-1858) Pioneer of Public Health and Anaesthesia Proved that Cholera is water-borne by removing a pump handle

His famous disabling of the pump in Broad St, Soho, London, is well-known, and I have photos and details for that replica pump under London & Greater London.
