| Markings: "The gift of
Alexander McLeod, Esq., [more words, obscured by paint], to the inhabitants of
Blackness, his native village, 1875". Manufacturer: With the exception of the cap, the pump top is very similar to an S.Owens No. 14 Ornamental pump. However, the cap is identical to that of a Glenfield & Kennedy water pillar just a few yards away, and the less than perfect fit suggests that it's later replacement. |
