crossgar Crossgar, Co. Down. Only one flywheel carries a handle, and it looks as if it was designed in that way. Could this be why the pump isn't set symmetrically in its alcove - to provide optimum space for the person using the pump?

Markings: A "1" stamped on the end of the axle/crankshaft.

Manufacturer: Features in Stevenson & Turner (Belfast) catalogue, but might well have been made by Joseph Evans.
